Audrey Moody was ordained to the Christian ministry in the Church of God in Christ, in September 1988 by the late Bishop Ozro T. Jones, Jr. A lifelong member of the C.O.G.I.C., the Lord has allowed her to serve in the ministerial leadership of His Church.
She serves as an associate minister and as the church administrator of the New Beginnings Sanctuary of Praise Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Joseph Conner, Sr.; as a member of the administrative/logistics staff in the Commonwealth of PA jurisdiction COGIC, under the leadership of Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel, Sr.; and as a staff member in the Office of the General Assembly of the Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the chairman, Bishop James Hunt, Sr.
A product of the public schools of Harrisburg PA, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has earned a Master’s degree in Social Administration from the Case Western Reserve University Mandell School of Social Administration; and a Master’s degree in Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
As an alumna of the Seminary, Chaplain Moody serves as the secretary of the Committee of Advisors of the Urban Theological Institute, as a member of the Board of the Alumni Association, and as a member of the Seminary Board of Trustees.
She is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 30 years’ experience as a psychotherapist, a therapist in private practice and is the founder of Living W.E.L.L., a ministry which serves to enrich, encourage, and empower women and men to live full and productive lives.
Chaplain Moody loves the Church of God. She loves the people of God. She loves the Lord.
The scripture that has had the most profound effect on her life is Psalm 84:11-12, “The Lord is a sun and a shield; He gives grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk upright.”
